Nolan N.com E-Box Blue Tooth Intercom

What is Nolans N-com? Nolan's Communication System: For the first time, a helmet company manufactures their own communication system and builds helmets in which you can install a headset in minutes, without any modifications to the helmet.

What is Blue Tooth? Wireless communication: with your cell phone if it's Blue Tooth equipped, with your passenger or with your GPS.

Basic Kit Headset: Use this to listen to music, listen to GPS, or talk on the phone. Order one per helmet. Installs in minutes and includes earphones, microphone and short wires to plug into devices and the battery charger. These headsets are ONLY for Nolan N.com compatible helmets, and are unique to each helmet style - there is a specific headset for the N102, another for the N42, and another for the N84. Please choose the headset for your helmet. This is NOT the communication device, just the headphones and mic. To communicate with a passenger, you would need an E-Box also - see below.

E-Box Intercom: This unit is for "wired" communications between Rider and Passenger on bikes not equipped with communications, as well as Honda Goldwings and Harley Davidson models equipped with communication systems from the factory. Add this to your helmet to connect to your passenger, share your equipment, cell phone etc. The E-Box unit is installed in the small door on the side of helmet to provide wired communications. Comes with a charger and a battery.

E-box Blue Tooth Intercom: This unit is for "wireless" communications between Rider and Passenger on bikes not equipped with communications. Also communicates with wireless devices like cell phones and other Blue Tooth headsets. The E-Box Blue Tooth unit is installed in the small door on the side of helmet to provide wired communications. Comes with a charger and a battery.

What do I need to order?

For Rider to Passenger communication through a WIRED connection on bikes WITHOUT any factory communication system, you would need ONE Basic Kit headset for EACH of your Nolan helmets (Nolan N102, N42, or N84 N.com helmets only) and ONE E-Box Intercom unit only. So that would be a total of TWO Basic Kit headsets, and ONE E-Box Intercom for the WIRED communications. You can add Multi-Media wires to wire in cell phones, MP3 players, GPS, CB Radios, or other devices. Bike to Bike communications can be achieved through the use of hand-held radios connected to the headsets via a Multi-Media wire.

For Rider to Passenger communication through a WIRED connection on bikes WITH a factory communication system such as Honda Goldwings or Harley Davidsons, you would need ONE Basic Kit headset for EACH of your Nolan helmets (Nolan N102, N42, or N84 N.com helmets only) and ONE E-Box Intercom unit PER HELMET. So that would be a total of TWO Basic Kit headsets, and TWO E-Box Intercom units for the WIRED communications. You would also need the connecting wires to connect your headsets to the motorcycles factory system. You can also add Multi-Media wires to wire in cell phones, MP3 players, GPS, CB Radios, or other devices.

For Rider to Passenger communication through a WIRELESS Blue Tooth connection, you would need ONE Basic Kit headset for EACH of your Nolan helmets (Nolan N102, N42, or N84 N.com helmets only) and ONE E-Box Blue Tooth Intercom unit PER HELMET. So that would be a total of TWO Basic Kit headsets, and TWO E-Box Blue Tooth Intercom units for the WIRELESS communications. You can also add Multi-Media wires to wire in MP3 players, GPS, CB Radios, or other devices - NOTE: these additional devices are still a wired connection to the headset. Bike to Bike communications can be achieved through the use of hand-held radios connected to the headsets via a Multi-Media wire, or by linking Blue Tooth units through the their Blue Tooth connection. Blue Tooth range between bikes is limited to the current technology which is about 50 feet.

For Rider use of MP3 players, cell phones, GPS, CB, Handheld radios through a WIRED connection, you would need ONE Basic Kit headset for your Nolan helmet (Nolan N102, N42, or N84 N.com helmets only) and any accessory wires to connect your devices to the headset.

For Rider use of Blue Tooth compatible cell phones, GPS, etc... through a WIRELESS Blue Tooth connection, you would need ONE Basic Kit headset for your Nolan helmet (Nolan N102, N42, or N84 N.com helmets only) and ONE E-Box Blue Tooth Intercom unit, plus any accessory wires to connect your other devices to the headset.
