Aim Split Beacon - Red
Used in conjunction with a Lap Time beacon, split time beacons define track segments. One benefit of a split/segment system is to help drivers better analyze vehicle set-up and make competitive adjustments by isolating distinct sections of a race track. For example, a motocross team can determine how its rider is doing specifically in the whoop section compared to other riders, or a road course racer can isolate a turn to see which line brings the best time through that section. “From an informational standpoint, segment times are an accurate way to determine a rider’s specific strengths and whether or not adjustments are needed.” (Conrad Young, AMA Supercross/Motocross Timing and Scoring Manager.) Infra-red (optical) beam cuts across the track for precise, automatic timing. Threaded insert on bottom for attachment to a tripod (not included).
